Update October
Funds have still been coming in for Frank - funds from the Flower workshop held last November, eventually filtered through the system to us! Much appreciated. However, as the main winter maintenance on the Rib did not happen due to Lock-down as no-one able to work, we have not paid out to him. We gather that a large refit will happen this coming winter.
Unfortunately, the Pursuit Race in aid of our general funds was not run due to unfavourable weather
The Thursday Club has not been active at all this sumer so no funds were required
We are awaiting any requests regarding winter training for our youngsters.
Update August
Again due to Covid 19 , racing has been very disrupted but HISC has been able to organise a race week - with no entry fees - instead of Fed Week. However, prizes for adults were available from the cellar but there was nothing for the juniors. On application, we decided immediately that it would be fair to grant them some funds - £200 - towards prizes for this week.
Donations for Frank continue to arrive - as various people are rescued!
Update June
The Feva class had not made any application for a grant for their winter training but unfortunately, due to Covid 19 , there were lots of cancellations of events and people had to be refunded. With no money available for this, we were applied to and in the circumstances were able to help with a grant of £405.
Also, Frank's rib underwent a relatively small and very belated winter maintenance routine which we paid for out of his account with us - £692
Update Jan
Funds from the Christmas Fair eventually arrived in our bank!
Many thanks to Pam Marrs as usual for her collection of donations from the lost property, which all goes to Frank. and to Sarah Ghinn and friends for, again, their marvelous effort on the very popular cake stall. Many thanks to everyone who contributed and helped to produce nearly £1500 for our funds. - half of which goes for Frank - yes - but monies are also needed on a regular basis for the Thursday Club RYA Dinghy Instructor programme and any youth training requirements.
Then we had an unexpected, but welcome, donation from Chichester Harbour Race Week and also one from the ELITE Class, the latter being a collection of small donations is eligible for Gift Aid. Ultimately, the dedicated entry fees from the Christmas Cracker also arrived in our bank
Finally, we must thank our generous Donor who makes a large standing order every month for Frank - we think - as a result of some incident in the sumer of 18.
Go to You Can Help if you would like to make a donation. Gift Aid Claim to HMRC goes in at the end of this month!
