Not many people are sure what this trophy looks like apart from it being antique pewter and having three handles. The Solo Fleet are justifiably proud of this trophy as it is the only Club Trophy which has been sailed for without pause since its inauguration in 1961 - apart from one year when the race was abandoned

It is sailed for on our Annual Open Event and it is not, according to rumour, won very often by anyone from HISC. It is a popular event which usually has a large entry of 35 plus boats, which is more than most other Open Meetings achieve. In 2006, however we were lucky to get 12 entrants, with the wind gusting up to 30 knots! 2007 and numbers were back to normal.
A tea is provided by the Solo Fleet after the racing and it generally seems to be partaken of by what ever other fleet is also sailing that day! It is a good time to meet up with other competitors off the water and generally debrief.
