This cup was presented to the Solo Fleet by Donald Dunford in 2002. There is a somewhat complicated method of determining the winner, i.e.the cup will be awarded to the person who is a regular sailor but not a regular race winner. He/she will have come highest in the ranking under someone who has won a trophy. Anyone who has previously won the Millennium cup is not eligible.
