The Gerald Bell Memorial Trophy is a lovely solid, silver bowl. It was first sailed for in 1967 to commemorate a HISC solo sailor. Guess who won it? - Tony Catchpole sailing ‘Ruff.’
This has always been a club event and is now the first main trophy to be won each year and is sailed for within one of the early Pennant Series weekends.
Two races are held on the Saturday and two on the Sunday. There is one discard if more than three races are completed.
