The Dell Quay Dash is, in fact, a fairly lengthy race all the way up to Dell Quay! It is designed as a pursuit race based on personal handicaps. These are worked out on the ranking system and everyone is given a chance of winning the unusual silver mug presented by J. Conway-Jones in 1971. There is not usually a race back so people can leave when they wish.
