Autumn Trophy

This trophy, a huge, ornate, solid silver bowl was originally presented for competition for a second annual Solo Open Meeting held at the end of the season. The Tyler Trophy has always been the prize for the main HISC Solo Open Meeting.

It was first won in 1964 by a boat called Tom Jones, sailed by T P Bass of HISC. It was last awarded for an Open Meeting in 1992 when Tony Catchpole collected it sailing ‘Public Enemy’ (!)

The trophy was reintroduced in 2001 for a club meeting when it was won by Tim Randall. It is now sailed for regularly in September usually, but not always, in conjunction with the last of the the Pennant Series weekends.

Two races held on the Saturday and two on the Sunday. There is one discard if more than two races are completed.
