The Social Sailors gather together on pre-arranged dates and sail off to various destinations, dine out and then return.

Any member of HISC can join; you don’t have to have a boat as the boat owners are usually only too happy to take on board, by prior arrangement, any spare crews. For cruises in the harbour, dinghies are very welcome to come and all sail together.

The cruises generally take place during the week when the waters and the marinas are not so busy and usually everything is much more peaceful and relaxed. Sometimes night stopovers are arranged.

There is no annual subscription but new members are asked to contribute £5 to cover administration and ferry costs, payable at the Spring Meeting or at your first attendance. Boat owners’ non-member guests are, of course, welcome free, but should be signed in at the Office.
